Edemarau is one of the founding partners of Demarau Pangestu Counsellors at Law; holds a law degree from Padjadjaran University, Bandung (1986) and Master of Law degree from The University of Sidney, Australia (1997). He worked for Kusnandar & Associates (1986-1993), Wanamurti and Associates (1993-1995). Edemarau started his own law office, Bahar Demarau and Partners in (1995-1997); free lance lawyer (1997-1999). At the end of 1997 Edemarau joint with Indonesian Banking Restructuring Agency as a Vice President (IBRA) (1999-2004); Member of Tim Likuidasi PT Bank Dagang Bali (Dalam Likuidasi) (2004 to present).
